Dr. Kamel Senouci is director of AMP’s SIVAC Initiative, which supports the creation or strengthening of National Immunization Technical Advisory Groups (NITAGs) in low- and middle-income countries. He leads strategy development, coordinates activities, and has primary responsibility for program implementation in Africa, Middle East, and Europe. He works closely with ministries of health, international organizations, and technical partners, notably the International Vaccine Institute, IVI, which conducts operations in Asia.

In addition to leading SIVAC, Dr. Senouci is in charge of health policy and institutional development program at AMP.

Prior to joining AMP in December 2008, Dr. Senouci worked at the WHO, International Health Regulation (IHR) office in Lyon and at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in the Communicable Disease Unit. He also worked at the French Ministry of Health.

Dr. Senouci earned both his MD and MSc (epidemiology) from the University of Paris, France, where he also completed his residency in public health. He holds a second MSc in health policy, planning, and financing from the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
