Dr. Gabrielle Breugelmans oversees all AMP activities related to vector borne diseases and pharmacoepidemiology. More globally, as a senior epidemiologist, she is responsible for the analysis of epidemiological or clinical study data; the assessment of vaccination programs and strategies; and the implementation of surveillance systems for monitoring adverse events following immunization in African countries, both for existing and new vaccines.

Dr. Breugelmans joined AMP in 2007 after several years in the private sector, working for a pharmaceutical company specialized in vaccinology.

She obtained both her MPH and PhD (in epidemiology) from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the U.S. She also holds a master’s degree in health sciences from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands and is a graduate of the European Programme for Intervention Epidemiology Training (EPIET).
