ADVIM Classroom Training Starts December 12, 2011
November 30, 2011
AMP’s Advocacy for Immunization (ADVIM) project will hold the classroom learning phase of its training program in advocacy for immunization financing from December 12 to 16, 2011. This follows the distance learning phase, which enabled 39 participants from Benin, Burkina Faso, and Côte d’Ivoire to analyze the immunization system and its national and international financial context.
The training will be held at the Regional Institute of Public Health (IRSP) in Ouidah, Benin. The focus will be on the advocacy process and preparation of advocacy sub-projects. Following the classroom learning, participants will implement advocacy micro-projects in their professional environment.
The goal of the ADVIM training is to achieve advocacy projects through multisectoral collaboration. The intersectoral group dynamic will be introduced during the classroom learning phase through work involving individuals from ministries of health, finance, and planning as well as members of civil society organizations (CSOs).
