Annual Regional Conference on Immunization (ARCI)

AMP will present the African Cholera Surveillance Network at the Annual Regional Conference on Immunization (ARCI) in Namibia on December 5-7, 2011.

The African Cholera Surveillance Network (Africhol), which involves governments and health organizations worldwide, aims to determine the incidence of cholera in sub-Saharan African through the creation of a surveillance network in at least eight countries.

Africhol project leaders will update conference participants on cholera surveillance and vaccines in the African region.

The themes of this year’s ARCI event are ‘Towards a polio-free Africa’, ‘Strengthening immunization systems’, and ‘Accelerating control of vaccine-preventable diseases’.

Other conference presenters include WHO-AFRO, UNICEF and Namibia’s Ministry of Health.
