Malaria Guide for Health Workers
In 2001, sanofi-aventis created the Impact Malaria program based on the observation that the fight against malaria involves mobilizing and creating awareness among all stakeholders. As part of this initiative, the company called on AMP to create a self-teaching guide on malaria control and management for community healthcare professionals in Africa.
The guide involves three main sections or phases:
- First, the reader’s current knowledge on controlling malaria is assessed to identify gaps.
- Then, the reader engages in simulation exercises designed to enhance skills.
- Finally, the reader is given the opportunity to review knowledge and to verify the integration of new skills that were missing at the start of the self-teaching process.
